I decided to become a personal trainer when I turned 30 and decided that I wanted to do something that was going to help people, for my career change. After thinking, researching, and being committed to my own fitness goals, I decided that this was the clear career choice for me. I would be able to get into the health and wellness field by helping people to reach their fitness goals. I knew that if I got the proper education, certifications, and experience that I could help better people’s lives.

Already having a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachussetts-Amherst, I decided to go back to college to pursue a degree in Kinesiology at the University of Las Vegas Nevada (UNLV). At UNLV I learned a broad array of topics related to the human body including: anatomy and physiology, anatomical kinesiology, biomechanics, motor learning and performance, strength and conditioning, sport specific training, and exercise science.

While studying at UNLV, I also completed a certification course to become an American College of Sport Medicine Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM-CPT), received the Exercise is Medicine credential offered through ACSM, and became CPR-AED certified.

After graduation, I was hired by Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) as a personal trainer. Through LVAC, I became dotFIT Certified. This allows me to help people to track their nutrition and exercise through an online platform and assist in recommending supplements to their diet based on their activity and nutritional intake. You can find me at the Sandhill location 3 days a week if you want to come and meet me in person.

Furthering my education, I am also Crossfit Level 1 certified. This allows me to teach people proper technique for functional movements such as: olympic lifting, presses, squats, pushups, situps, pullups, and other functional body movements. The CF-L1 certification allows me to teach proper nutrition and help to scale workouts to all ability levels.

I have been taking clients privately for over 2 years, but only recently have been expanding my client base due to all of the new knowledge that I am ready to show people, willing and motivated to make a change in their lives.

Training with me will be vastly different than training with a traditional personal trainer. My knowledge of the body and how it reacts to exercise is something that very few personal trainers have for experience. Every single person that trains with me, gets an individualized workout plan that will be specifically designed for that person according their goals, health condition, and physical shape.

I have heard so many stories from some of my clients about personal trainers that do not seem to care about their clients and that are distracted (on their cell phones or paying attention to other people). If you go to the gym where there are personal trainers, I am sure you have seen some of the same trainers do the same exercises with different people and are just going through the motions.

Training with me is different. I care about what you have to say and I can help you get back to a health level that makes you feel great. Personal trainers are here to help push you and motivate you, but not make you so sore that you can’t walk the next day or can’t lift your arms. I ensure that you are getting a workout that helps you to feel great and will give you RESULTS. This is what makes working out with me different.

I am genuinely excited to talk about nutrition, health, and exercise any time and all the time. My goal is to help you to get HEALTHY. Whatever your definition of healthy is, is where I want help to get you. Whether its weight management, strength and conditioning, muscle gain, balance or stability, or flexibility, I have the knowledge, skills, and expertise to help you reach your goals.

If you want to get a complimentary session or you just want to talk to me about your health and fitness goals, I am available 6 days a week for your convenience.
