Simple Delicious Guacamole Recipe with all Fresh Ingredients
Healthy by Heather

Easy, Delicious, 10 minute, Guacamole Recipe!! #guacamole #Healthyliving #latinfavorites #Iloveguac #glutenfreeliving #healthyrecipes #eatingrawfoods

Guacamole is one of my favorite snacks. Especially since I learned how to make it (thanks Brian)! Below are the ingredients needed. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

4 Ripe Avocados

2 Jalepeno/Serrano Peppers (diced, seeds are optional)

1 Roma Tomato (deseeded and diced)

1/4 Red Onion (diced)

Juice of 1 Lime

3 Garlic Cloves

Handful of Cilantro (chopped)

Salt & Pepper to taste

Once you have the ingredients assembled you need to prep them. Start by deseeding the tomatos and peppers. Then dice them.

Next cut the avacados in half and depit them. Once you have all the pits out take a spoon and scoop out the avacado from it’s skin.

After you’ve finished scooping the avacados into the bowl you can add all the other ingredients and top off with the juice of 1 lime!

Don’t forget the salt and pepper. This is whatever amount you like since everyone’s taste buds and dietary needs and restrictions are different.

The final step is to muddle it all together. At my house we actually use a muddler but if you don’t have one don’t worry. You can use the back side of a spoon and mash everything together. The most important part is to make sure it’s all mixed well, it doesn’t matter how you got there.DSC01609

Once it’s all mixed it’s ready to be served up! Just keep in mind the majority of calories in avacados are from fat (about 70%). Yes it is good fat but it’s still fat. So make sure you pay attention to portion sizes and try not to go crazy! I know it’s hard when it tastes sooo good!!

Lastly, I have a secret for you on how to store guacamole without it turning brown within a couple of hours. All you have to do is put it in whatever tupperware or dish you want to store it in and make sure you cover it tightly (right up against the guac) with plastic wrap so no air is able to get to it. The air is what makes it turn brown! Happy guacamole-ing!!
